The Hotel Palácio Estoril, built in 1930, blends historic charm with modern elegance. Its white facade, lush gardens, and timeless luxurious decor create an atmosphere of exclusivity. During WWII, neutral Portugal made Estoril—the "Coast of Kings"—a refuge for exiled European royalty and a hotspot for British and German spies who frequented the hotel's bar.
These tales of intrigue later inspired novelists and filmmakers, and the hotel famously appeared in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
